Pronomic GmbH develops future-oriented energy-saving solutions for the industry, for local authorities, laboratories, biogas plants and foodstuffs industry. An exceptionally small embedded computer made by Janz Tec AG is used as a basis for the Smart Meter Box 300, a data collector for reading out measuring instruments. This fulfils all the legal requirements on capacity and performance, and is extremely convincing thanks to its modular construction and individual expansion options. Pronomic was able to build on the effective and rapid help provided by the qualified development department in Paderborn during integration of the database as well. Access is web-based via a browser, and export for spreadsheet applications is also possible without problems.

These are based on the newest-possible technologies, not just with regard to energy generation, but attention is also paid to quality and reliability in the use of operator interfaces. Industrial computers from the Janz Tec AG emVIEW series are used as controllers for the equipment. CANopen and Ethernet interfaces ensure optional linkages, and even make remote maintenance of the system in addition to regular data exchange of statistical values possible. But it's not just the functions which play an important role, the customer's requirements were met in the design as well - the display has a stainless steel front panel which means that it optimally matches the company's corporate design.
