Individual industrial PC development with the latest Fujitsu technology
At the embedded world 2018, we will present the FALCON active 1 and the FALCON passive 2, a perfect example of individual product development „made in Germany“ in cooperation with Fujitsu. See our products for yourself – both at the Fujitsu booth (hall 2, booth 110) as well as at our own booth (hall 2, booth 411).
The compact FALCON active 1 industrial PC system is fitted with a bevelled CPU cooler specially developed by Janz Tec that ensures optimum heat dissipation performance. The intelligent PWM-controlled active cooling concept optimises the airflow, allowing ultra-efficient cooling of the compact system. The stainless-steel system fitted with the latest 6th and 7th generation Intel® technology in Mini-ITX form factor is extremely versatile. It can be used as a wall-mounted, rack-mounted or desktop system. The Falcon active 1 also has a scalable storage solution with 2 x 2.5" interchangeable hard drive caddies or 2 x 2.5" built-in hard drives, a lockable external power connector with 12V DC DIN and is fitted with a replaceable air filter.
The new industrial PC system FALCON passive 2 features smart passive conduction cooling with a flexible heat conductor (FHC). The flexible 70 mm heat conductor used in the FALCON passive 2 can expand and contract by ± 2.5 mm and is particularly suitable for use in Mini-ITX systems with Intel Core i processors. In combination with the specially designed housing, the flexible heat conductor provides powerful and reliable conduction cooling unrivalled in the industry – for the entire service life of the system. The FALCON passive 2 is specially conceived for use in applications that not only call for a compact design, but are also intended for use in environments that prevent active cooling, e.g. due to dust or other factors. Furthermore, it is possible to use additional interfaces in the 2 low profile slots and 2 D-SUB DE-9 breakouts, depending on the mainboard used, making the FALCON passive 2 ideally suited for use in industrial automation and robotics applications. Individual adaptations and customised housing designs are already available in limited production runs.
